Reviews for Mocha's Mug
Review highlights
Based on 323 reviewsMocha's Mug is consistently praised for its warm, cozy atmosphere that invites relaxation and study, enhanced by comfortable seating and a charming fireplace. The coffee shop is well-regarded for its high-quality beverages, including espresso, mochas, and seasonal offerings, with customers appreciating both traditional and specialty drinks. Food items, especially baked goods like scones, brownies, and cinnamon rolls, receive frequent commendation for their freshness and flavor. The friendly, attentive service, often delivered by the owners themselves, contributes to a welcoming community feel. While the music selection varies and may not suit all tastes, it does not detract significantly from the overall experience. Some customers note minor maintenance issues, but these are overshadowed by the shop’s strengths. Gluten-free options and requests for additional menu variety, such as matcha, indicate a customer desire for expanded offerings. Overall, Mocha’s Mug is viewed as a standout small-town coffee spot with a strong emphasis on quality and comfort.
When I was living close to my parents I would try to have Mocha Mug once a week and now when I visit I try to stop by. I love their hot coffee, their smoothies, they had a delicious Arnold Palmer this past summer! They have great espresso. Even better? Their food. Their scones are not dry, their cookies are soft, their brownies melt in your mouth, their cinnamon rolls are some of my favorite all around. Anything you order is going to be guaranteed to be amazing. The staff has always been super friendly too.
Friendly baristas-owners, GF options & yummy coffee drinks. We had a mocha latte and dirty chai —both were delicious. Update: offering matcha would be a big plus. I’m not the only one who would love it. iOS even has an emoji for it.
My first visit today and I just love the place! Warm and cozy ambiance thanks to the fireplace and comfy chairs and couches, tasty coffee drinks and homemade food items (including fresh-made quiche), and the owners themselves working the counter. What more could you ask for in a small town coffee shop?
Just a lovely and quaint little shop. My latte and scone were both warm and delicious, and I felt like I was sitting in a cabin in Tennessee. A nice quiet environment of studying and relaxing. For me, it's worth the 40 minute drive from Greenville. Will definitely be back.
I enjoyed this coffee shop. The music is a little all over the place so don’t have a particular style of music you are planning on listening to. I have a hard time with coffee shops anyways, because they are not what you imagine them to be, and just don’t live up to places for studying and/or reading a book. I did notice the air vent was missing a cover at the top of the stairs. Overall though this is a really nice place, very very friendly staff, clean, high quality everything, and so much more. I will most likely come back to keep supporting and encouraging more business.
The owners are always friendly, smiling and help you make informed decisions about your caffine needs. I've been here a few times and have never left disappointed or unhappy. The coffee is always bold, never too sweet and always hits the ...
